In yet another strange case of life imitating fiction (there have been others, just Google it), a Canadian arrested yesterday on terrorist conspiracy charges is a former Canadian Idol contestant. Just like that movie American Dreamz (...I assume, from the trailer. Like Hugh Grant but meh, wasn't feeling it).
And there's video! It's awkward ad awful, and doubly odd when you realize it's all an elaborate joke (Khuram Sher was born and raised in Canada, not Pakistan).
How is it that this guy was apparently targeting civilians all over Ottawa but the Canadian Simon Cowell still comes off looking the worst?
